Wedding reception ideas: bring the indoors out

Get inspired by these dreamy ideas and create your very own wedding wonderland!

A theme can evolve from anything – a thought, a colour, an object. But it was the signature chandelier draped in fabric from Timeless Love Events which inspired this wintry shoot.
Guests made themselves comfortable in antique chairs, old-fashioned candlesticks adorned the tables, even the desserts on the vintage tea cart were decorated with edible gold leaf, giving this shoot an opulent feel. Yet the distressed wooden tables and outdoor setting provides a beautiful contrast.
“To really tie in the autumn/winter feel, we scattered the aisle with dried leaves, and the flower displays were styled as though they wouldn't look out of place on the forest floor,” explain Mychele Chamberlin and Alycia Drury from Timeless Love Events.
“The bouquet comprised maroon-coloured dahlias, various wheats, eucalyptus and gold-sprayed wild flowers," she continues. "The combination of colours really popped against the natural landscape.”
This look is all about luxe accessories, so don't hold back on the details. “We placed champagne bottles inside a vintage planter filled with ice and decorated a dresser with an antique gold mirror, birdcage draped in sheer, gold fabric and vintage jewellery, all in order to give the bride that feeling of elegance she so deserves on her big day,” recalls Mychele.

In a word? Swoon.
